    User Level Security (2003)

    I'm using user level security and I have forms that have tabs on them. I want certain users to only see certain tabs to enter data but so far it's the whole form or nothing.

    To do this you need to do some more work. It is easier if you want to use Groups as basis for deciding if a person should see a particular page.

    Here is an example of a function that will determine if the current user is a member of the Group Admins.

    Public Function fnIsAdmin() As Boolean
    Dim wks As Workspace
    Dim grp As Group
    Dim usr As User
    Dim blinGroup As Boolean
    boolinGroup = False
    Set wks = DBEngine.Workspaces(0)
    Set grp = wks.Groups("Admins")
    For Each usr In grp.Users
    If usr.Name = CurrentUser Then
    blinGroup = True
    End If
    Next usr
    fnIsAdmin = blinGroup
    End Function

    You can then use the results to set the visible property of the relevant pages to true or false.
    Regards
    John
