    Query Criteria (A 2k2)

    Evening All,

I have a query with PrecertDate and Concurrent Date. I want to gather the data for the PrecertDate AND Concurrent Date where the Dates for both are equal.

    i.e.
    Precert Date
    3/2/06
    5/2/06

    ConcurrentDate
    5/2/06
    5/2/06

Using the Date 5/2/06, the query should return 3 records, 1 Precert record for 5/2/06 and 2 Concurrent records for 5/2/06...however, it's returning 4 records...even though 1 Precert was done on 3/2/06. I know it's pulling all for records because the Concurrent Date for the Precert Date on 3/2/06 was part of the criteria of 5/2/06.

    I thought I should use the Criteria leveling...but that's not working....by that I mean:
For the Criteria for Precert...I would put 5/2/06 on the first row of Criteria and for Concurrent Criteria, I would put 5/2/06 on the second row of Criteria.

What am I doing wrong with my query?

    Re: Query Criteria (A 2k2)

Things put on different lines in the criteria are treated as one or the other.
So if you put 5/2/06 on the same line under both dates it should only return values where both dates are 5/2/06

In general if you want to return values where one field is equal to another, you can use the field name in brackets [ ] as a criteria.
    Regards
    John
