    Sumif first three digits of number are xxx (2000)

    I have data sorted by account numbers. The account numbers range from 1-999999 and are listed in column A. The data are listed in column B. What I would like to do is sum all of the data in one independent cell whose respective account starts with 555. Any help?
    Thanks in advance.

    For example this 'normal' formula:
    <code>
    =SUMPRODUCT((LEFT(A1:A100,3)="555")*B1:B100)
    </code>
    or this array formula (confirm with Ctrl+Shift+Enter):
    <code>
    =SUM(IF(LEFT(A1:A100,3)="555",B1:B100))
    </code>
    Adjust the ranges as needed.
