    Problem opening word mail merge from Access (offic

    Hi All,
    I'm not sure if this is an access or word issue or just a vb coding issue, but here it is.

    I have created a mail merge labels document in word that opens fine and tells you it will get data from an access query and then just does it. I have then attempted to open this document with a cmd button using the following code:

    Dim oApp As Object

    Set oApp = CreateObject("Word.Application")
    oApp.Visible = True
    oApp.Documents.Open ("Cocuments and SettingsMeaganMy DocumentsKids Club Absent Mailing")

    This code opens the document with the previous sort (as it was saved) without showing the query warning and the mail merge bar is greyed out. and inoperable.

    Can someone please correct my code so that the mail merge function works as it is supposed to?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hans,

    Thanks for your reply. Could you please show how you do this "instead I open the data source in code, using .MailMerge.OpenDataSource." in reference to my originally posted bit of code.
