Error when trying to open f: after memory stick

When a friend of mine inserts a memory stick into here PC at home and she goes into Windows Explorer she sees the f: drive as the removable disk. When she clicks on the f: she gets an error telling her the Please insert a disk into f: drive.

The memory stick works fine on her PC at work.

What could be the problem here?

What operating system is her home PC? Has she loaded any drivers required to access the memory stick? Is there encryption software on her work PC that could be masking the file system when plugged into another PC?

I'm wondering about the fact that you said the drive is F. Assuming C drive for Windows and a CD or DVD on the D drive, what shows up as her E drive? The only reason I'm asking is that I have a combo-reader on a USB port of my machine and it shows up in Explorer with THREE different drive letters. Might something like that be her problem?
