Not enough system resources to display completely (Excel 2000)

Two of my colleagues get the message "Not enough system resources to display completely" when they open Excel (with new Workbook) on their laptops. What can I do to help them get rid of this message all the time? I have tried to Repair the installation, and even to install the Office application again, but nothing helps. Can anyone in here help me?

    Thank you!

I started Excel in Automation mode, and the problem was fixed!
