Text Box control in Report (2000)

I am trying to control the visibility of a text box (not linked to a field) in a form with columns, in the on format event, but when I use

Textboxname.visible = true it does not matter, visible does not seem to be a control property of it, any ideas?
    Best Regards,

    Luke

IntelliSense does not show Visible in the list of properties, but you can still type it in yourself, and it should work.

Assuming you're using a report rather than a form, you may need to use the correct Format event. Make sure you're using the Format event of the section in which the textbox appears. Is the textbox in the detail section? If you are having a problem, it may be in the condition you are using to toggle the visibility rather than the visible property itself.
