    Building An E-Learning Site (XP/Office 2003)

I am thinking of building an e-learning site with Publisher - and am looking for resources. Anyone have any ideas? I can use PowerPoint and FlashPoint to create and deliver each module - but how do I build the site to allow restricted student entry and multiple portals for different modules? Thanks in advance.

What are you doing your modules on ? PDF, html, word? Some ISP ( and I know my one pipex do) allow you to create secure folders with password access...how about creating module folders with security password access after each module is completed just shut down the folder with a set password only you know.

My college use WebCT which is a massive application where students register and are given access to our modules on a registration by registration basis very expensive and requires a lot of administration.

    I would say for starters modules in password protected folders...my starters for 10 <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    Hi Jerry,

Thanks!! My ISP does allows password protected files - glad you mentioned it, and so I asked. The modules themselves will be created in Powerpoint, then converted to Flash. The outside skin of the site itself - I thought - would be Publisher. Macromedia has an application - but it is far too expensive for me.

This is a free thing - not fee, and so expenses must be moderate.

    Thanks again. Best thoughts.
