Adding inputs into a combobox in a form (2003)

Hi, I am trying to add input information into the list when the info is not in the combobox dropdown list selection.

To do this, you must set the Limit to List property of the combo box to Yes, and write code for the On Not In List event of the combo box.

If you search this forum for NotInList, you will find several examples, such as the thread starting at <post:=146,627>post 146,627</post:>.

That was a big help, now I am trying to keep the new input data displaying after it was added to the drop list instead of selecting it again. I appreciate all your help Hans.

If you set the Response argument of the NotInList event procedure to acDataErrAdded after adding the new value to the row source, the combo box should be set to the new value.
If you have problems getting it to work correctly, could you include the code you have in a post?
