    Upgrading conflicts (2003 sp2)

I maintain the deployment of a access 97 data base and another one in 2000. The IT department has upgraded us to office 2003 sp 2, I ask to have access 97 renstalled, Today while using access 2003 I find that the aplication is very slow, and it the office applicaiton even hangs up. Are there any reported problem of up grading to Office 2003.

I haven't noticed any particular problems with the speed of Access 2003.

    1) Did IT reinstall Access 97 without removing Access 2003? That is bound to lead to problems. The proper order is:
    - Uninstall Office 2003
    - Reinstall Office 97
    - Reinstall Office 2003

    2) Are you using an Access 2000+ frontend with an Access 97 backend? That is known to be very slow.

There is a simple rule: install from oldest to newest. See Information about running multiple versions of Office with Office 2003.
