MSCal control does not select same day (Access 2003)

Hi, I am having some problems with a calendar control. I am keeping track of events that happen daily. In the form I have a MSCAL.calendar.7 which shows the numbers like push bottoms. If I create a new record and i click on the selected number it sunken, but when I create a new document that have the same date right after the previous record, I have to click on a different number and then change back to the number that i really want to be able to get the bottom to sunk in. The calendar control source is a field in my table with the short date format. I try to index (duplicate OK), not index, but the problem persist. Can anyone help.

One way to get around this is to set a Default Value for the date field in the table. For example, if the current date is a reasonable value, set the Default Value property to =Date(). That way, a date will always be selected in the calendar control.

Thank you so much Hans. you always have the answer. Have a nice day. Ohhhh, by the way. I am trying to set a query that total or sum up the number of hours of events by weeks. I already have it by day , month and year, but I can not getting to work by week.

Say that your date field is named dtmDate. Define a calculated field

    TheWeek: [dtmDate]-WeekDay([dtmDate])+1

    and group on this field.

BTW For the future: it's better to ask questions not related to the original one in a new thread. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
