    AutoCorrect.CorrectSentenceCaps doesn't work (Word XP/2003)

    I tried to prevent Word from automatically capitalize first character of sentences with the following code:

    AutoCorrect.CorrectSentenceCaps = False

    but it doesn't work. Word still does the correction. More interestingly, I found that the "Capitalize first letter of sentences" checkbox in the Tools/AutoCorrection Options dialog has been unchecked.

    I have tried with Word XP and 2003, and with VBA and ATL-based COM Add-In. The results are all the same.

    Anyone knows what's happening?

    Thanks

    This appears to be a bug indeed. To make the setting work, you must do the following:

    AutoCorrect.CorrectSentenceCaps = False
    Dialogs(wdDialogToolsAutoCorrect).Execute

    or

    With Dialogs(wdDialogToolsAutoCorrect)
    .SentenceCaps = False
    .Execute
    End With

    Thank you very much. It solves the problem.
