    Security Settings (IE 6.0 SP1)

I'm trying to play games on Pogo.com. A message appears saying that my current security settings prohibit running ActiveX Controls on the page. I searched Internet Options and allowed all that I thought pertained to Active X.

Is anyone familiar with adjusting the settings so that I can use Pogo? I've contacted their contact source: Electronic Arts Customer Service, but as yet I've received no reply.

    Hi Duchess

There seems to be a lot of "chat" about pogo.com on chatrooms which specialise on the game. You may find some specific info about it from there.

I have heard things mentioned about virus settings and I have seen comments about bugs....unless there are any pogo players in the lounge you may want to try the other forums....hope that helps <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>

A pogo player since 2000...do you have pogo.com in your Trusted Zone? How about in your Firewall settings to allow pogo.com?
Attach is what my setting in Trusted Zone - Security looks like...

Thanks Jerry, I'll do a search for Pogo Forums, in the meantime, I'll wait for some avid Pogo player like myself, to reply.

You can also go to the 'Help' tab on Pogo.com and do a search there.

Thank you Lonnie, your information may just do the trick. I checked my security settings and the only one I had to change was the first one (Initialize & script ActiveX controls). Mine were set on Enable.

If your settings work, I will return and speak of our success.

    I remember it as a punk dance from 1976...but only because I read it in a book <img src=/S/liar.gif border=0 alt=liar width=25 height=22>

Been there and done that. All I found was to install Java, and how to enable the plug-in for IE.
I have the latest Java Runtime version 1.5.0_07 and I checked that it was working correctly.

Pogo is a place where the user can play all kinds of games. Once a member you are given free passes to send to your friends so that they can get hooked just like the sender. Almost any game you can think of is offered on pogo.com.

ilona53, sad to say but the corrected settings didn't help. I'm at my wits end trying to figure out the settings Pogo requires.

Re: Security Settings (IE 6.0 SP1)

    ilona53= Lonnie, please. <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>...AKA ilona47_ @ pogo.
<img src=/S/hmmn.gif border=0 alt=hmmn width=15 height=15> , is pogo in your trusted zone in IE? You never did say.
I'm going to do some checking on that popup statement you get @ pogo. I've gotten THAT exact same statement on other game sites...but I THINK it has something to do with the 'ads' on the gamesite. I've got ALL the ads blocked on pogo and the other 4 gamesites that I frequent. <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>
Did you pose that statement into Google?
