Show attachment name at printing (2002)

Is there a way when printing an e-mail that has an attachment to show in the printed output the name of the attachement(s)??

The names of the attachments are not printed for e-mails in HTML format. One workaround is to change the format to plain text (or rich text) before printing. You can also use the macro by <!profile=JohnBF>JohnBF<!/profile> in the thread starting at <post:=322,729>post 322,729</post:>.

Re: Show attachment name at printing (2002)

I must be missing something. As a test, I created an e-mail with an attachment (the e-mail was created using Word as the editor and it's HTML).
But, when I got it in Outlook, I changed the mail format (under options) to be rich text. However, the print preview still didn't work (because it said it was HTML).
    What am I missing here?

I'd stop using Word as e-mail editor and try again.

But, I can't stop someone else from sending me an e-mail when they used Word and/or HTML.
When I turned off Word and changed to Rich Text, I still couldn't preview the e-mail because it was created using HTML.

Sorry, I apparently I misunderstood what you meant/did. You don't have to set your own default mail format to plain text or rich text.

When you receive an HTML format e-mail and you want to print it including an indication of the attachments, do the following:
    - Open the e-mail.
    - Select Edit | Edit message.
    - Select Format | Plain text.
    - Confirm.
    - Select File | Print Preview (it should now be enabled).
    - When done, close the e-mail without saving it (unless you prefer to do so)
