    Re: Coping Macros (Word 2000)

Check Tools | Templates and Add-Ins... on the old PC to see if you had any global templates/add-ins. If so, you will need to copy them to Word's startup location on the new PC - this location can be checked in the File Locations tab of Tools | Options... too.

    Copying Macros (Word 2000)

Created many global macros and have now received a new computer (with the same version of Word). Copied the Normal.dot from the old computer to the new one but my macros are not there (placed the normal.dot template in the correct template location...verified by going to tools/options/file locations). Are there any other files that need to be copied so that the macros are available on the new computer?

Thanks...I'll check there....I also did a search for normal.dot on the old pc and the user has multiple ones so hopefully between your suggestion and this the problem will be resolved.
