Re: Beta 3 released (IE 7)

    G'day Joe,
Maybe that is why I am not getting on the net using IE because I got the disk of the suite attached to a windows magazine. I am having great difficulty in getting IE to get past the activation window. I get two blue dots and it freezes on me.. It does this with every program I got on the disk. I am not game to delete the 2003 windows suite yet because of this. At the moment I am using moxilla foxfire as my browser but it is a pain shutting down one program and waiting until the other loads.

I don't know the contents of the CD you reference. Also, I do not recall any product activation required for IE 7. Can you post a screenshot?

Re: Beta 3 released (IE 7)

    Joe,
With the problem I have, I have two windows programs. the XP home edition (XPH) and the XP Professional (XPP). I can not save anything to the clipboard to transfer it across to the other windows program because I have to turn XPP off and then reboot in the XPH to access this board. As I said I am not game to delete the home edition yet until I have all the bugs out. That is unless you know of another way around it.

Re: Beta 3 released (IE 7)

I just installed IE 7 b3 at home and did notice the message to validate Windows XP. Sorry, I forgot about that. Your issue there could be with a firewall. You may want to boot into 'safe mode with networking' and try the installs from there. If you are requested to choose an account make sure you login with either the builtin administrator or a user with adminstrative priviliges.

Thanks for that Joe. Do you mean I have to go through all the loading procedures again? How do I delete the original IE program I got with Windows EXP?

If you are running the original IE (plus fixes) IE 7 B3 will replace it. There is no need to delete the original.
