    Ghost pst folder (9.450? OL2000)

Hi all, I am using OL 2000 in IMO and whilst opening and closing different PST files I have inadvertently created a "Ghost PST file" I remember from previous posts that to remove the ghost file you need to edit the registry. Would anybody have the registry string that the ghost resides in?

Re: Ghost pst folder (9.450? OL2000)

it's somewhere under HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVe rsionWindows Messaging SubsystemProfiles

each pst has two keys - the ghost only has one. you need to figure out which is the single key <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15> it's different on each profile, so you really need ot look through the list of numbers and see which has the pst as a value. the two that belong together are usually close to each other.

rename, instead of delete till you get it right.
