    Automatic Date When Checkbox is Checked (Access 2000 SR1)

    I have a checkbox "Done" and another field in the table called "DateDone". How do I get Access to automatically enter today's date when the checkbox is checked? I can't seem to figure this out, although I'm sure it is relatively simple.

    Thanks,

    JoeK

    Put code in the On Click event of the check box:

    Private Sub Done_Click()
    If Me.Done = True Then
    Me.DateDone = Date
    Else
    ' Optional - clear date if check box is cleared
    Me.DateDone = Null
    End If
    End Sub

    Thanks. I actually tried something similar, but didn't quite get it right :-(

    Much appreciated.
