    Current Date (2003)

I want the date to automatically appear when a user creates a new record on a form, and only if it's a new record. I want the date to remain the same if the record is viewed again. So if he creates a record today it will have todays date. If he opens the same record tomorrow, it will still have todays date, but if he creates a new record it will have tomorrows date. Will Now() do this, or change every time the form/record is opened? A long winded explanation I know.

    Re: Current Date (2003)

Set the default value to Date() if you just the Date and Now() if you want the date and time.
The default value is entered when the record is created.

Thanks John. I wasn't sure which.
