Startup items - only once per day

I am using windows XP but this probably applies to other versions also.

I have some web sites in my start up directories so that they open in the morning when I fire up my computer at work.
Is there a way to set it up that they only open up once per day?
This could be some sort of flag that indicates they have been seen that day or even just a time limit that doesn't open them if it is after 7:45 AM.

You could set them up as a scheduled task.

See How To Schedule Tasks in Windows XP or Start | Help and Support (search for 'schedule task'.

The scheduling doesn't work with web site links. Is there an easy way like opening up Internet Explorer (or other software) and specifiing the site?

If the time for a scheduled item passes when the computer is not logged in, does it start the action when the log in is completed or does it ignore the item? If it happens when the log in is completed, this would be perfect.

    Thank you.

Schedule "iexplore.exe web-site-address" without the quotation marks. Try once and see what happens. See xp task scheduler - Google Search for more information on the scheduler.
