    ZD Soft Screen Recorder

A number of screen recording programs have been discussed in this forum, but this one
"records screen activities to replayable video file. It uses unique screen recording technology to gain the best recording performance. It outputs lossless screen video in extremely small file size. It is very easy to use. You can use ZD Soft Screen Recorder to create:

    Screen demos.
    Training videos.
    Teaching videos.
    Animated tutorials.
    Animated presentations.
    Animated help files."

Windows Media Player 9 or compatible software required for WMV or AVI file playback.

    And it's <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>

    Not <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>. Only FREE to "download". Looks to cost $29.

Where does it give a price? - I can only see it listed under "Free Downloads".

    I think "Soft Screen Recorder" is <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> , but "Video Recorder" is $29 and "Game Recorder" is $39

Right. If you click on the "Buy Now" tab, Game Record, Video Recorder, and Movie Screensaver are listed with a purchase price, but not Soft Screen Recorder.

Right, sorry. I mixed it up with Video Recorder.

However, you will notice that all the products are listed under "free downloads" also.

    DenGar,

Checked out the program and loved it. By any chance do you know of a similar free program for 98SE ?

Since we're in the Software forum, it might be worth mentioning that those folks at Wink also have a "morphing" program here: WinMorph - [Homepage] (Morphing software has occasionally been asked about in The Lounge.)

This looks good. I have not yet used it but already I envision a new Lounge forum filled with tutorials of various tips & tricks. I look forward to it.

    Re: ZD Soft Screen Recorder

I actually ran across some morphing hardware the other night. A friend's daughter's digital camera was running amok for some reason. The photos it was churning out made our faces look like creatures from Star Trek. No idea what the problem might have been... maybe we just look like that anyway after too much to drink?

You can get any one of them for free if you link to them on your website. I'm sure that terms and conditions apply, but it could be a good deal.

    Re: ZD Soft Screen Recorder

I'm in the process of playing around with both software products and would like to see a continuing of this thread if appropriate. I'm trying to compare the two products recommended here to see which one is most beneficial. So far, for me, it seems that WINK is the better of the two but I'd like to hear from anyone else on this topic.

    Re: ZD Soft Screen Recorder

    Big Al,

I have not tried ZD Soft Screen Recorder yet since I've mainly used the W98SE computer - this is the primary OS the "Extended" family is using.

I plan to download subject software sometime in next 2-3 weeks for the XP Pro machine for trial. Part of my problem is time.

I will keep everyone posted on my findings, good or bad.
    Scott
