sequence of scenarios in a slide (2003)

    Hi all,
what i have is a map in a slide, the map contain points that reflects different scenarios, what i want to know is how i can post these scenarios in a sequence format, that is to say in that slide initially the map will show only scenario one and then by pressing the enter key it will overlay or post the scenario two ,then three, and so on.

If each scenario is a separate object, you can use custom animation:
    - Select Slide Show | Custom Animation...
    - Select the first scenario.
    - Select "Appear" from the Add Effect dropdown (it's in the Entrance section).
    - Select the second scenario.
    - Select "Appear" from the Add Effect dropdown (it's in the Entrance section).
    - etc.

Note: you can use more fancy animation settings, but be careful - the audience might pay more attention to the animations than to the content of the presentation.

If the map and scenarios are a single object, you can't do it this way. You'd have to create a version of the map without scenarios, a version with the first scenario, a version with the first and second scenario, etc. Stack these on top of each other, and make them appear as described above.

    Thank you HansV,

It will take me some time to do it, because all scenarios are in one map.

Not to suggest something too old-fashioned, but before Custom animation, we simply created a new slide for each addition and use appropriate slide transitions (e.g., Wipe from left to right) to fake the "animation." This is convenient if you find that all your different scenarios pile up on top of each other and become unwieldy. The main disadvantage is that the file size may balloon due to the duplication of a large graphic on each slide. One workaround is to keep that set of slides in its own PPT and put the image in the slide master. You can link out to the second file and then back to the first one. Also, recent versions of PowerPoint support multiple masters, but I haven't played with these so I don't know how they work. <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>
