The screenshot shows a heading style, the text is almost touching the heading number.
How can I move the heading text over? i.e. where is this setting in Word?

In the dialog where you customize your outline numbering, at the bottom, there are settings for tab and indent.

3.3 Controlling the indenting around bullets.
