    VBA window (XL2003)

    Hi,

in my VBA code window I am missing the bar on the left where e.g. the yellow arrow for the active row and the red dot for the breakpoint appear.
How can I get it back?

    TIA

    Wolf

Could you post a screenshot? (Max. 640 x 480 pixels, save as .png, .gif or .jpg to keep down file size)

    Strange.
    1) Does it help if you restore (unmaximize) the module window?
    2) Does the problem occur only in Excel VBA, or also in Word VBA etc?
    3) Does the problem persist if you restart your PC?

Try opening the VBA editor and going to Tools > Options > Editor Format

Make sure there is a tick in the option called Margin Indicator Bar

    <Strange>
The world of VBA is full of miracles (at least for me)

<1) Does it help if you restore (unmaximize) the module window?>
I did everything back and forth several times

<2) Does the problem occur only in Excel VBA, or also in Word VBA etc?>
    Also in word VBA

<3) Does the problem persist if you restart your PC?>
Yes. I did that also several times.

Is there maybe something in VBE which could make it appear?

    Thanks

    Wolfgang

    Thank you Andrew and Hans

I was in that window about 20 times before, but never realised that option.
