    reboot helper (3.1/42467)

A reboot helper window appears whin I startup. It says insert disk now but doesn't say what disk. I've tried em all. How can I be sure everything is correct and dump the window?

    At what point during startup?
    Immediately after the post bleep?
    Before Windows starts?
    After you log-on?

It would really help Leif (and others of us) if you would give us a bit more information: 1)Is this a brand new computer, being started for the first time? 2)"...tried em all..." What does that mean?

By the way, the subject of your post has numbers in it that are not related to Windows XP. It sort of makes it look like you're running Windows 3.1 <img src=/S/anigrin.gif border=0 alt=anigrin width=19 height=19> If you want to find out what "version" you're running, right-click on My Computer, select Properties and you should see a screen something like this attachment.
