    Defrag - not necessary (SR2)

    Hi -

Going into Tools/Defrag, I was told it was not necessary to do so. How accurate is this?

    Thanks,

Under NTFS, disk fragmentation is far less of a problem than under FAT32. It is not necessary to fragment as frequently.
When you click "Analyze", you'll see a color coded chart of the way your disk is used, so you can judge for yourself. If you wish, you can defragment even though Windows reports that it is not strictly necessary.
