Using both Outlook and Outlook Express (Outlook 2000 SR-1 / OE 5.5)

Here's the problem I'm running into...

I have two accounts setup through my ISP to receive e-mail. One is mine, and the other is for my wife.

I can get Outlook to download only my mail, and Outlook Express to download only her mail. This is how we want it, as we each prefer one program, over the other.

The problem I'm having, is that Outlook Express is trying to use my Contact List from Outlook. I don't mind sharing this file with my wife, but as she isn't very "computer literate", she would prefer having a separate contact list from mine so that one of us doesn't accidently delete an important contact from the other.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

you're using IMO mode - with shared contacts enabled. To disable, look in the address book options.

Re: Using both Outlook and Outlook Express (Outlook 2000 SR-1 / OE 5.5)

As I had mentioned, I've got my accounts in Outlook, and my girlfriend has her account in Outlook Express.

Seeing that I've got more knowledge about computers than she does, I've setup OE to be the default e-mail client so she doesn't have to think when she wants to send an e-mail via a website link.

Other than that, I don't see it as being any different from setting up accounts in only one of the two.

    Hope this helps...
