    Publisher...slow board? (Publisher 2002)

This sure is a slow board...(but that's good). Maybe things will pick up with Publisher 2002 supporting addins/vb/macros.

Care to comment? Is this just a way for script kiddies?

    Brian,

Slow board I suspect because MS doesn't seem to be putting much into promoting Publisher. And the XP release isn't going to help. Have you tried to buy Publisher 2002? All the adds I've seen for XP products do not even list Publisher. At least the Pro version of 2000 had Publisher bundled. Not anymore.

The product is good, but IMHO not good enough. It's still not as easy to use as it should be. If we want powerful, hard to use publishing software, we'll stick with PageMaker.

Nevertheless, I'm supporting Publisher in-house so you'll see me around.

    Re: Publisher...slow board? (Publisher 2002)

In my office we mostly use Publisher for fliers, newsletters, signs, etc. Same with most of the people I work with. It seems that many of the questions that do get posted to this board are about web pages. Is that because Publisher is so easy to use for desktop publishing and difficult for web pages?
