    Real Signature (ie5.5sr1)

    windows98se, office2000
Hi, I created my real signature in word by writing my signature on a piece of paper & then scanning it to my documents, naming it signature.doc. The only way I can use it, is after I finish the letter I have to open signature.doc and then cut & paste. This works ok in word. What I was hoping for is, I would be able to use it in other programs such as winfaxPro10.0 & Ie5.5sr1
Do you think there is a way to accomplish this or am just dreaming?
I will deeply appreciate any advise.
    Respectfully,
    Gerri

P.S. I know nothing about VBA

    Word:
Open up the doc with your sig in and select (single click) the graphic of your sig.
    Tools | Autocorrect
and your sig should appear in the 'Replace with:' field.
    Enter in the 'Replace:' field
    sig
Then every time you type "sig" (followed by a space or CR) your signature will be inserted.
(Otherwise, Insert | File mysig.doc should do the same as long as your signature is the only graphic on the page.)

    Winfax:
Couple of years since I used it, but I had two methods:
I created a 'Rubber Stamp' from a signature I had faxed to myself
I created a template with my sig already in it.

IE5.5 - ?? not sure what you mean.

Try saving it as an image (graphic) when you scan it . Then you can use it anywhere that you can insert a graphic, including Word, etc.

Thanks for the information and for being so prompt with a reply. All of you are so great to spend time helping folks like me. It is truly appreciated.

    P.S. I don't know why I mentioned Ie5.5, what I meant was outlook express.

this sounds like a simpler way of using a signature in whatever app I need it in. I'm all for simplicity. Thanks for spending your time on me, you people are just wonderful.
P.S. I don't know why I said IE5.5, what I was thinking was Outlook Express
