    XP - detail popups (XP-SP2)

How can I get rid of the pop-ups that explain to me what I have just clicked on, or run my mouse over. Problem is, the pop-ups cover up the area I'm trying to enter information within, like naming a file I'm working on. This happens within Windows itself, not the internet. And, the pop-up is huge, compared to the DP 120 sized text I have chosen, if that makes a difference. The pop-up seems to duplicate the information that it's covering up, plus more area. This especially annoys when looking at files in several columns of names. Thanks for any ideas, and past help.

    Activate Windows Explorer.
    Select Tools | Folder Options...
    Activate the View tab.
Scroll down the list of Advanced settings until you see the item "Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items".
Clear the check box for this item.
    Click OK.
