Perhaps

    =IF(H7="","",IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0)),$AA$5,VL OOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0)))

So what was the problem? I only inserted the original formula (without =) into =IF(H7="","",...)

    Hi Hans

Sorry it took so long to get back, I kept missing the IF before the ISNA, a senior moment I think!

    Many Thanks again

Re: Can't add to formula (Excel 2000/2003)

    Hi Hans

It appears from my colleagues i haven't quite got this right.

    =IF(H7="","",IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0)),$AA$5,VL OOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0))) .

The part I missed is, what is returned will be a 50% it should then multiply I7 by 50% or I7* $AA$5 (which contains 45%), I need to return a price not a %.

ie if I7 contains 75.57 this * 45% = 35.36 or * whatever is returned by the formula.

    I hope this is clear

    Many Thanks

Re: Can't add to formula (Excel 2000/2003)

This should do it. If the result is not an empty string "", it is multiplied by I7:

    =IF(H7="","",I7*IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0)),$AA$5 ,VLOOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0)))
