    Enter a number in Feet/Inches (2003)

How do you enter feet and inches in the same block. I am trying to do an estimate of how much it will cost to paint my house and would like to take the measurement of each room and mulitply it by a unit price to get a total. I know I could divide out the fractions and put it in decimal form, but I would like to be able to print it out and easily tell what the mesurements are. For example I would like to be able to enter:
7' - 3 1/2" (Wide) in one cell and 10' - 2" (tall) in another cell and get the total square feet as a result, which in this case is 74.13'.

I tried doing custom numbers by clicking format cells, but couldn't get it to work.
