MS buys Sysinternals

Not really a problem or solution but Microsoft have bought Sysinternals & Winternals. Both Mark Russinovich & Bryce Coswell are going to work for MS. See Mark's Sysinternals Blog: On My Way to Microsoft!.

Two more of the good guys couldn't resist the call of the once their product got too good for MS to ignore. Does this mean that MS will discontinue the products to make it harder for the rest of us to find the flaws in their flagship software ???

While it may be primarily about the Benjamins I see it as a terrific opportunity for one of the most knowledgable Windows people in the world to influence future architecture and design of the most used operating system.

We can only hope, eh Joe ?? It's just that MS always seems to confuse innovation & creativity with domination & control. But I'm sure the addition of those two minds to the MS brain trust can't do anything but help.

They obviously think that they'll be able to make a difference at Microsoft. But they are two among so many, and now they will have to contend with the marketing and PR departments. I hope they succeed!
