IE sent emails (XP - home)

Friend of mine cannot get "Run Classic Style" to work. He also clicked on the second link (can't remember the name- about 'details").
One day, as I was trying to help him, we were clicking this and that, and somehow found a whole long string of email addresses he recognized. He wanted to go back to them and edit them,
but for love nor money, we couldn't find our way back to that list. We tried Search, to no avail, and random attempts within IE, but couldn't come up with the sent mail records.
Any help will be appreciated, especially since he got a lot of unwanted Porn, too. We are going to download and run Lavasoft / Adaware in the next day or so.
Thanks for past help, and hope you can make some sense of these two hic-cups within good ole XP.

Isn't Windows Classic available in the Theme dropdown list in the Themes tab of the Display Properties control panel?

Or, could you possibly be talking about the stylization of Windows, i.e. right-click the START button and select Properties - see attachment. The Customize button also yields a tick off list of additional "features" you can use.
