    Hi Sami

I have tried to emulate your problem without success, you you say linked file I am presuming you are using a hyperlink, to test it I just typed the word 'Excel' and used a hyperlink to point to one of my workbooks and each time it open in full screen mode.

    Cheers

I think Sami meant embedded Excel objects on a slide (created by Edit | Paste Special with the Paste Link option.

Does it help if you clear the check box "Automatic layout for inserted objects" in the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect Options?
