    Formula Problem (Excel 2000/2003)

    =IF(H7="","",H7*IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0)),$U$5, VLOOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0)))

H7 =29.40 If I use the above formula is gives me 45% of 29.40, 13.23.

Instead I want it to give me Minus 45% of 29.40 which is 16.17

But I am struggling to get the formula correct

    Any suggestions please

    Many thanks Braddy

    Try

    =IF(H7="","",H7*(1-IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(B7,xdd,2,0)),$U$5,VLOOKUP(B7,xdd,2 ,0))))

    Instead of multiplying with 45% = 0.45, this formula multiplies with 1 - 0.45 = 100% - 45%
