open more than one folder when opening Outlool (Outlook 2003)

Is there a way to open more than one folder when opening Outlook? For example I would like my Inbox to show but would also like to have a calendar in Public folders open as well. Is that possible? thanks

Re: open more than one folder when opening Outlool (Outlook 2003)

You can open multiple instances of Outlook, for example by double clicking the Outllook icon on your desktop or in the Quick Launch toolbar. You can activate a different folder in each instance.

Note: if you have created a shortcut to Outlook.exe with the /recycle switch, it won't open a separate instance if Outlook is already running, it'll just activate the running instance.
