Moving data to new installation (2003)

I'd like to copy certrain data from one 2003 installation to another. For example, rules, shortcuts, options, and Outlook bar folder configuration. Does anyone have a listing of which Outlook files store particular information? Is this even possible? Thanks.

Re: Moving data to new installation (2003)

Here is Microsoft's list of file locations for Outlook's various data and customizations (excluding the registry, where accounts are stashed): Microsoft Office Assistance: Outlook file locations.

Historically, outcmd.dat contained command bar customizations. It's an uneditable "all of nothing" file, but it should be easy to copy it to a new profile/setup.

The safest way to move rules is to Export to a RWZ file using the Rules Wizard, and then import on the target system. Names of any target folders need to match or the rules probably won't work in the new context.
