Contacts not showing when I Click the To:, CC:,

I had a crash of my HD that took out my laptop. Had to replace it. I have backups on an external drive. I have loaded everything and setup Outlook. I have transferred my .PST and can see all my contacts when I go to contacts. When I click new mail message it opens MSWord, as it is set. When I click the To: or CC: I can't see any contacts like I use to. What did I do wrong?

New computer is XP, Outlook is 2000, set up as CW

Thanks the fix worked. My menu was not labled the same but found my way.
