Validate no empty field (Office 2003)

I just created a new form and I wanted one of the field to be filled all the time. I right-clicked on the field and selected - Properties - Validation - first option. A value is requried for this field.

When I tested the field it stop, told me that it can not contain a zero lenght value and went into VB Debugg mode. How can I just stop it, show the message and not go into the editor?

How about giving it a default value in the dialog. Even a space.

No that would not work. I need to make sure that the User files in all the fields before the form can be sent to the next person or group. So, I need to check each field (total 8) before it is sent.
