Tasks that jump around (Project 98)

Yes, tasks really do jump around. 2 people in our office have seen tasks that move from one part of the project to another at random. <img src=/S/frown.gif border=0 alt=frown width=15 height=15>. Any ideas? With one person I thought it was just a glitch but now that 2 people have seen the behavior I wonder if something is really wrong.

Were resource being added to the task?
Is the task linked to another task?

    Cheers

Thanks for answering. No resources were not being added nor were the tasks linked. The task movement is random.

    Bill

Another possible that sometimes throws people: are the tasks part of summary tasks that are linked in some way?

Are you doing any tracking of tasks? Have you put any constraints on tasks? Are there any indicators in the entry table next to the tasks?

    Hope they've settled down!
