Int'l Character Toolbar (2003)

From time to time I use the International Character Toolbar (ict_usen.exe), a free MS Office 2003 addin that gives you quick access to e.g. Polish characters not normally found on the US Int'l keyboard. The addin also works in PowerPoint. My problem is that it does not work in Word anymore. Repairing the addin does not help either. In PowerPoint it is working perfectly. After uninstalling it, I have also deleted the toolbar in the Word organizer and then reinstalled it. Still does not work. Again, no problem in PowerPoint.
    Anybody any suggestion?

There are some reports in the newsgroups that it only works if you are logged in on your PC with admin rights. <!profile=Klaus Linke>Klaus Linke<!/profile> mentions

But I haven't got it to work properly either, and removed it pretty soon.
Looked plain broken to me, so I can't give any advice.

You could try Phil Rabichow's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000),197827>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000)<!/post> to see if something else interferes.
