Let the user associate the .jpg extension with Microsoft Paint in the File Types tab of Tools | Folder Options in Windows Explorer. If that doesn't help, he/she may have to (re)install the graphics filters for Microsoft Office.

    Tx Hans,
I'll let the client know and hopefully this should work.
    Cheers again!

Re: Jpg Logo showing as Icon?? (Access 2003)

    Hi Hans,
This problem is still not resolved. One new thing I can say is that when you look at the table in datasheet view, the field that is defined as logo (with an OLE type) shows the word "Package" in the cell. On all the PC's that show the logos correctly, the cell displays Bitmap Image, or Photo Editor 3.0, or something else. This persons table displays Package??

Is there something like Picture Package in Win XP? Is this not a compressed version of the picture that Access cannot display. Even if the person associated the files to Bitmap or Jpeg...Package is still displayed in the table??

    Any Ideas

    TX

    Rudi

Which application is associated with .jpg files on the user's PC?

Note: I'm sure that you are aware from the many threads in this forum about the subject that it is *not* a good idea to store images in an OLE field, so I'll assume that there is a very compelling reason to do so anyway.

It seems like I will have to do some reading about this!

The pictures this client has is associated with Picture Packager on his PC. If I copy the pictures to my PC, they are JPeg and open with Photo Editor.
    See the image below....
