    Cancel a procedure (2003 sp2)

In the first control of a continuous form I have a procedure to check for a null value in the Lost Focus Event. Problem is, having entered data in the first record you end with the focus in the first control, so when the form is closed, it triggers the Lost Focus Event and gives the error message. Is there a way to use the On Close Event of the form to cancel the Lost Focus Event of the Control?
    Thanks

I wouldn't use the On Lost Focus event, since it occurs regardless of whether the user has modified the record or not. You could use the Before Update event of the control, or of the form as a whole.
