Transpose data from 1st sheet to the other sheets (2003 sp2)

    Hi,
Compared to many of the questions asked in this forum this seems to be a simple on. I have used excel to create a multipart form. My delima is that when I don't have data in the cell the follow-on sheets have a zero in the cell. If I put a space in the first or master sheet that makes the follow-on sheets blank.

I'm trying to get whatever info I put on the first sheet to be transposed to the follow-on sheets and when there is no data to have a blank cell on the follow-on sheets. On the top I also have a data field, I don't know if that will make a differance in the formula.

Thanks in advance for your help

    You can use something like:
    =if(Original!C3="","",Original!C3)
    instead of just:
    =Original!C3

It will put a null string (not a blank), which should serve your needs. To make it blank would require a macro, snce if a cell has a formula in it, the cell can not be blank.

[Note instead of all the individual lines in 14-28 and 30-43, why not just 1 wide row that wraps?]

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

One option would be to use formulas like this:

    =IF(ISBLANK(Original!C3),"",Original!C3)

Another option is to select Original!A1:L43, and copy it (Ctrl+C).
Then activate another sheet and hold down Shift while selecting the Edit menu.
Select Paste Picture Link from the menu.
You'll need to unprotect the sheets temporarily to do this.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I tried your suggestion but I still got 0 then the cell was blank. I had to base this off a paper based form and they expect a certain format. That was what I wanted to do when I started this project.

Your suggestion did just what I was looking for. I ran into some problems though, some of the merged cells were formatted for text and when I changed it back to general everything work great.

Thanks again for both of your help. Just reading through the problems you people have solved is a great learning experience.
