OL 2002 Task Owner and Sync. problems (Office XP / Outlook 2002)

I am using OL 2002 with Exchange 5.5. If I create a Task when I am offline,
my User Name is not shown as the Owner on the Task Form. Instead, that field
    shows the following:

    /O="My Domain"/OU="My Configuration"/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN="My User Name"

I think that is called the "Object User Name."

In addition, I am not able download the the Offline Address Book. (I assume
these are related?) I get the following error message:

16:17:41 Microsoft Exchange offline address book 16:17:41 0X8004010F

    Any help would be appreciated!

do you have the address book set for offline use in tools > send/receive settings > define groups? There is also a download address book in the send/receive menu

    Yes...

Actually, selecting and deselecting that option doesn't change anything...and today I even tried creating a new mailbox and profile on my client machine just in case some old configuration settings were the problem. (I exchanged emails with one guy using Exchange 2000 that solved the problem that way). Unfortunately, none of that worked. It seems to be a Exch. 5.5 and Outlook 2002 bug.
