    Re: MSAccess (MS Office 97)

Within Access you can specify a Default Database Folder.

Look in Tools...Options..General and see what is specified there.

Error: can't change the working directory (Acc97)

Subject edited by HansV to be more descriptive than "MS Access"

Lately whenever I try to open Access, I get the following error message:
MS Access can't change the working directory to "???A?". I click OK and Access opens. I have changed the target in the Properties to poin to the correct directory for the shortcut and tried everything, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions? Libbie

    Re: MSAccess (MS Office 97)

THANK YOU, John!!! That was it. Changed it to the folder I use for databases and Voila!, everything is fine.. I appreciate the WOPR Lounge. Have solved many problems thanks to people like you. I realize my Office 97 is very outdated, but I have it tweaked to work and I feel no need to change it. Libbie
