PSAPI.dll Error in IE7_b3 (IE6 now)

Don't know if anyone recalls, but I had tried the b2 of IE7, and had received a PSAPI.dll error on trying to exit IE7.

Well, I just tried b3, and the same error is still there. After an hour with MS on the phone, they told me to uninstall and wait for the final version.

What is the error? Do you use Verizon DSL? There is a known issue with Verizon DSL as they distribute an old version of PSAPI.DLL. The solution suggested in the IE7 feedback is to rename all versions of PSAPI.DLL on your system except the one in C:WindowsSystem32.

Yea, you know, I called IE7 support last night, and they told me to rename *all* versions, and that WinXP would re-create on re-boot.

Thank goodness for Bart PE.

Then they told me to not run any beta and just wait for the final release.

I didn't retain the error pic, but it was something about being unable to locate an entry point.

I told the guy on the call last eve to make sure this bug, which also was there in Beta 1, gets repaired prior to release.
