    Win. Genuine Advantage

Have seen a lot of flack recently about Windows Genuine Advantage and the perils of using Win-Update with auto install. I don't use Auto-install but a friend did and now has Win Gen. Advantage in her machine.
Is there some way to uninstall Win. Gen. Adv. ?
She has changed to Notify Me Only about updates.

    Thank you mucho.

You can search the internet for instructions to disable WGA. But, if her copy of Windows is legal why worry about it? If she want to be able to receive any updates other than security updates then WGA will be needed.

I agree with Joe, bottom line, "Leave it alone".
