    Folder Independent Tables (2003)

How can I set up the front end so that it always references the backend tables in the same directory where the front end resides? I have occasion to move the application to another computer, and I always have to restore the links because the backend is in a different folder. I would like it to always default to the backend data in the same folder as the front end.

(Note: Access stores the full path for linked tables, not a relative path, so you have to use code to re-link the tables)

    Hi Hans,

You've pointed me back to my own query (altho it was about Access 97). I must be getting old as I had forgotten about it albeit that was an entirely different application.

    Thanks
